It’s been a really busy academic year for West Midlands Nail and Beauty Academy. We’ve been working with some incredibly talented students who have gone on to win top industry awards, been accepted for positions in established beauty salons or gone on start their own business.
But why choose a career in the Beauty Industry? According to the Hair and Beauty Industry Authority ‘The industry is vibrant, dynamic and fast paced, offering fantastic employment and training opportunities. The sector boasts a workforce of over 245,000 people working across 55,000 businesses comprising of hair, beauty and nail salons, barbers, and spas.’
Job opportunities are endless. Many students who become newly qualified start their career working in Hotel Spa’s, Salons or Health and Wellbeing Farms to gain experience working with clients.
If you have family commitments for instance you can become a freelance Beauty Consultant and choose the hours you work, perhaps working from. home or going mobile.
You might want to consider becoming a Salon Manager opening up your own Salon or, passing on your skills to others by becoming a Tutor.
And, if you want to travel the world, there are many opportunities to work in Destination Resorts and Cruise Ships meeting a range of clients and experiencing different cultures and people.
You may even want to consider a career as a make-up artist working in the glamorous world of television, film or theatre.
And don’t forget there are also opportunities to offer services to Wedding parties or Prom events – nails, make-up, massages, spray tans – the more skills you have the more work you’ll get. Or, why not become a beauty blogger to help create awareness of your skills?
At West Midlands Nail and Beauty Academy we offer Diplomas and NVQ’s in a range of courses including: a complete Beauty Diploma; Make-up Artistry; Micro-blading; Reflexology; Indian Head Massage; Nail Art; Lash and Brow Tinting to Indian Head Massage.
You can do multiple courses to increase your portfolio and the services you offer to potential clients. And training is of course on-going in our industry with new trends and techniques being constantly developed.
Our Tutors are highly skilled, friendly and passionate, dedicated to providing a first-class service to help students qualify and become leaders in their specialist areas.
Next month we’ll be holding our SEPTEMBER ENROLMENT providing us with the chance to help find the right course for you and kick-start your career in the Beauty Industry.
